| The value of any
Hornby Dublo item is ultimately dependent on its condition and whether it
is boxed. Being second-hand items the prices quoted represent an average
of what can be achieved in the collectors marketplace today. However
prices can be a lot higher for exceptional and/or hard to find items or lower for items
that have seen better days. Online auctions are a lottery and prices achieved can be very up and down from one week to the next and heavily dependent on seasonal factors, what is on TV, sport, the weather and so on. They can lead to disappointment for both buyers and sellers. It is recommended that those who are serious about building up or disposing of a Dublo collection approach a reputable dealer who has an appreciation of the market and who can be fair with sellers and offer consistency for buyers.
